Our core belief:
positive change is possible

But if all change is self-change, how do we engage people in their own recovery?

It was the question founder Don Kuhl asked himself when working at Wisconsin’s Meriter Hospital 30+ years ago. Don created the first Interactive Journal, inspired by the teachings of Ira Progoff and Carl Rogers, as an individualized and structured way for substance use patients to feel empowered in their own personal growth.

Since then, The Change Companies has strived to be an advocate for end users and staff by providing affordable, evidence-based resources and excellent customer service. Our strength and our success lies in our relationships with our clients. Our passion for doing good propels us to stay up to date with modern behavioral health research. Because of this, our services now extend to corrections, impaired driving, behavioral health and beyond. We can’t wait to see what the next 30 years will bring.
